In the phase 1 the vaccine and a placebo controlled injection is given to a small group of volunteers of different ages to check if any side effects are not related with the vaccine and placebo injection is used to determine the study.

After the successful completion of phase 1 the vaccine will go under phase 2 where it is given to fairly large peoples to check the vaccine effectiveness in people. The condition of people of the diseased people will be student to determine the common short term effects related to the vaccine.

Phase 3 is basically a large group of people usually ranging from 1000 to 3000 participants have given the dose of vaccine to evaluate the overall risk and benefits. The Food and Drug reviews results from phase 3 and approve for mass production.
